Whether you are struggling with stress, depression, loneliness, grief or other forms of emotional turmoil we strongly encourage you to take full advantage of this program. All sessions are completely confidential.
Cynthia Green
“I began my practice in order to provide a secure and stable environment to help couples find the best path forward, whether that’s staying together or beginning new lives apart. My relationships with clients are collaborative and encourage independence and self direction. In a trusting, confidential and empathetic environment people can better manage challenging issues and find new ways towards self improvement and further growth. As a dynamic and committed practitioner, I consistently aim to create an empathic, trusting culture for everyone with whom I work.
When I began my practice, I had been working as a social worker and psychotherapist for 15 years. I have done extensive work with individuals working through trauma & life transitions.
I have been licensed clinical social worker in New York City since 2002 when I graduated from the Simmons College School of Social Work. My experience is varied, having worked in different hospitals and social service agencies. In 2010 I completed the Two Year Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy training program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, and launched my private practice.
In my psychotherapy practice I treat adults from a range of backgrounds. I see individuals and couples from the perspective that the dynamic is a partnership rather than therapist as the authority. While I treat people in traditional professions, I also have significant experience in working with people in the creative arts.
In 2016 I completed multiple training programs at The Center for Mediation and Training and in 2018 I was named their Director of Outreach. I see divorce mediation as a therapeutic process for the entire family, and a healthy approach to a very difficult time in life. My additional professional interests include parenting challenges, prenuptial agreements and short term support group work. “
