98point6
98point6 is a new kind of primary care that gives you on‑demand access to a physician via text messaging on your mobile phone. We’ve added 98point6 to your benefits package so you can now have access to care 24/7 from wherever you are—on the bus commuting to work, at a coffee shop or even in a meeting.
Visits with 98point6 physicians are available to eligible employees and dependents aged 1 and older enrolled in a News Corp medical plan at no cost to PPO or HMO plan participants, and for only $5 for those with a CDHP.

Family Medical & Leave Act (FMLA)
Employees who work at least 1,250 hours in a consecutive 12 month period are eligible to apply for up to 12 weeks of job protected unpaid leave to care for themselves or for a sick family member. FMLA will run concurrent with other leaves like short-term disability, childcare leave (paid and unpaid).
Call Met Life at 1-800-220-1716 to open a leave.
Flexible Work
The Company will work with employees to accommodate such occasional needs whenever practical by permitting the alteration of work hours for a particular day that will allow the employee to have the time needed to handle their personal issues, while still working a full work week.
A new request must be made for each instance. Each request for alteration of work hours will be considered on a case-by-case basis and some options may not be appropriate in a particular employee’s circumstances. Managers should work with the requesting employee and the People Department (Human Resources) whenever there is a conflict between an employee’s request and the needs of the business.
Flexible hours can mean many things, including;
- Arranging to have a later start time, and work later that day to make up the hours.
- Coming in early, or working through lunch, so that the employee can leave earlier than normal while still working a full day.
- Taking time off on one day, but making up the missed hours later in the same payroll week by working extra hours on different days.
- In appropriate circumstances, working from home for part or all of a day.
Other variations may also be feasible. Employees should work with their immediate managers to find a solution that works for both the employee and the business. Employees should reach out to their People Business Partner if they have any difficulty finding a workable solution with their manager directly.
